The introduction of e-CMR was therefore a long-cherished wish of application managers Bobby Barten and Mark Krabbenburg. ‘E-CMR has been on our radar for some time. We received the first requests from our customers to also digitize this piece. It fits perfectly with our ambitions to work more efficiently and sustainably.”
We knew Collect + Go from our network. They align their solutions with our processes. This makes the transition to paperless working clear. We can integrate this seamlessly into the daily operations of our drivers. This makes it easy to implement.
Integrated drawing processes
The drawing processes for e-CMR at Collect + Go can be integrated very well within our application landscape. ‘We have our own driver app, so this had to be included there, says Barten. It is also important to us that if our customers create e-CMRs, this is also integrated into our business operations. Collect + Go has experience in this.’
This new way of working was implemented during the summer period. Drivers were equipped with the new handhelds to process orders. ‘That took some doing. Drivers have to get used to working with apps and handhelds. The fact that e-CMR can immediately be integrated there is ideal. The change for us is then very limited.’
Also applicable for ADR
With the ADR section it is possible to digitize the documentation in the transport of hazardous substances. Barten: ‘With ADR goods we often have to deal with all kinds of other documents, such as cleaning certificates. We can integrate these documents seamlessly into our operations. Drivers can then immediately show these documents in addition to their e-CMR.’
Further rollout
The first customers who prepare e-CMR data for us from their own ERP system are expected to be connected soon. Barten: ‘That is ideal, it allows us to take our customers through a transition that is also interesting for them.’
